A fruit and vegetable trolley also runs regularly through the village. 500 metres away, to the west of Paul do Mar, the local surfer scene meets in the two hip bars "Maktub" and "One Love". A supermarket with a large selection of meat and fish can be reached in 5 minutes by car.
A 10-minute drive takes you to the family-friendly Calheta Beach, ideal for swimmers and non-swimmers of all ages. But there are also 2 bathing spots in Paul do Mar: a pebble beach directly at the village square and a bathing jetty at the end of the promenade, from which you can easily get into the sea. Paul do Mar is also the starting point for popular hikes to Prazeres and Faja da Ovelha.
